To create a portfolio project, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account
Showcase is available to both free and paid users but you must be logged in to access

  2. Add or create a new project
There are different places on our site where you can add or create a new draft project. You may see different button text, depending on the location, but ultimately you'll land in the same exact spot. Here are the different locations:

    • My Portfolio page in your Student Dashboard (Add New Project)

    • Showcase page (Create a Project)

    • Maven Challenges page (Submit Your Project)

    • Profile avatar menu (Create New Project)

  3. Populate basic information & publish
All items inside the Basic Information Tab are mandatory and need to be populated before you can publish the project. After you've added the mandatory basic information, make sure to select Publish (instead of Draft)

That's it. In just three easy steps you've created and published your project!

But, please don't stop there. This is your time to shine and stand out. Maven's Portfolio Project feature offers additional options and functionality to personalize your project.

When you create your project we strongly recommend taking advantage of these additional options:

  • Tools - this is where you tell us which tools you used to work on your project

  • Additional Images - this is where you add more images adding value and context to your project

  • Embed Media - this is where you can embed live reports from tools like Power BI, Tableau, Excel Online, or Vimeo and YouTube videos

  • Maven Challenge - this is where you can submit your project to a challenge if you want to participate

  • Project Preferences - this is where you control how other people can interact with your project
